Financial Controller Doncaster £38,000 - £45,000 Owner-led SME in South Yorkshire have a superb opportunity for a Financial Controller. You will enjoy being the number 1 in finance for a longstanding and growing business with a superb track record and highly experienced senior leadership team. Your pivotal role reports directly to the Managing Director and you will be part of the senior leadership team from the outset. The business as usual includes all financial reporting - full management accounting / board pack requirements. You’ll be involved in budgeting and forecasting and key variance analysis. You will also be responsible for the relationships with external stakeholders (bank / insurers / auditors). There is plenty of added value and project work to get stuck into alongside the monthly routine. The directors are looking to invest in new / upgraded software, automation, enhanced reporting and better controls. They are also looking at strategic growth avenues which could include acquisition or new start up alongside their core business streams. You will be: A very hands on accountant who really thrives in an SME / owner led environment where your input really matters. Someone who is comfortable working directly for an owner-manager. Someone comfortable with change and has a positive approach to solving challenges. Able to demonstrate success as finance manager / FC or company accountant within a professional smaller business / subsidiary. Highly IT literate. Able to make a difference and drive improvement. Someone with excellent interpersonal skills.
