( RMN / RNLD ) Ward Manager - Mental Health Hospital Location: Colchester, Essex Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 p/a ( £21.53 - £24.61 p/h ) Hours: Full Time Further Details : An exciting opportunity has arisen for an RMN or RNLD with experience in a senior role to join a specialist Mental Health Hospital is Colchester, Essex. The Hospital is a 57 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs, and women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. Ward 1 offers 9 beds in a safe and stabilising environment for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder who are presenting in crisis and require an emergency admission. Ward 2 provides an 11 bed pre-engagement service in a rehabilitative setting for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder who may have difficulties in engagement or motivation with therapeutic programmes. Ward 3 provides intensive support service for men with autism, a learning disability, complex needs and who may present with behaviours that challenge. The service offers placements for four men with independent living areas. The living areas include self-modulation sensory facilities, with a programmable sensory menu to accommodate personal preferences, strengths and abilities of each resident. Ward 4 12 bed service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs (which may or may not include Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and who may have behaviours that challenge. The ward accommodates service users with high dependency needs and supports assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Ward 5 NEW - new high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men based at Mental Health Hospital Colchester. The service is delivered in a purpose-built therapeutic environment, where the focus is on maximising positive outcomes and recovery. All bedrooms are en-suite and the hospital offers a range of social, relaxation and activity areas. Shifts : The Service can accommodate part-time or full-time hours and they can be flexible with shifts. They are happy to consider fixed shift patterns and they can consider nurses who prefer working days only or nights only. Their shift pattern is 0800 - 2000 or 2000 - 0800.
