Beesley & Fildes have been established since 1820 carrying a great history with 200 years experience in the industry. Beesley & fildes are a family owned company; who currently have eleven branches throughout the North West and employ approximately 250 people in a variety of roles. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to join our team based in Warrington. Experience within the timber or builders merchant sector would be a huge advantage, but this is not essential. IT skill are important as you will be required to use our delivery/stock control system to perform administration tasks. You will also need to be a fast learner and be willing to spend time learning our products and how we operate as a company. Your responsibilities: Delivery organisation to service our customer network. To help develop staff in producing consistent high standards of work. Monitoring & maintaining the quality of our products and service. Resolving any queries or complaints. Building rapport with new and existing customers. Maintaining good health & safety practices. Maximising operating efficiency through transport delivery schedules. Maintaining transport road legislation requirements including driver infringements. You must be able to handle pressure well, and work to deadlines in a high energy environment servicing customer and business needs.
