Our client a leader int he construction industry are recruiting for Drivers based in Dunbar for an immediate start on a temporary contract until 30th September 2020 ROLE SUMMARY (purpose) Vacancies exists for suitably qualified Sales Lorry Drivers working primarily out of our Dunbar Depot. The main responsibilities of this role are delivery of Tarmac bulk and packed Cement to customers and other duties in line with business needs.The role works within all relevant statutory legislation together with internal company Safety, Health and Environmental Standards KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAND WORK OUTPUTS ? The loading and delivery of Tarmac bulk and packed cement to a range of ready mix and concrete product customers ? To ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety, Health and Environmental Standards ? General cleaning & housekeeping duties of vehicle ? First Line Maintenance duties on vehicle QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS ? A current HGV CE Licence ? Driver's Certificate of Professional Competence ? Health & Safety Certificate would be desirable EXPERIENCE ? Experience of bulk tankers would be desirable ? Good driving record – a clean driving licence is essential SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE ? Good working knowledge of vehicle maintenance ? Good standard of writing and numeracy skills ? Thorough knowledge of road transport regulation PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & BEHAVIOURS ? Excellent time-keeping ? Team Player ? Customer focused ? Ability to work flexible and unsociable hours when required as the role will include some day / weekend working ?
