Full Stack Developer (with Backend experience) - London £65 to £70k My client, a leading News Publisher is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer with Backend experience to join a small, agile development team in the context of a wider digital team that supports their editorial titles by exploring new technologies and partnerships in order to help monetisation of their content. Key Responsibilities: The team is focused on testing the performance of various monetisation schemes running on their websites and implementing new ones, as much as exploring related technologies. You will be liaising with the team’s Product Manager and other relevant stakeholders on a daily basis to understand their priorities and apply technology to develop and optimise their online publications. You will be responsible for designing, testing and implementing improvements to their news products, and the work you’ll do there will ultimately be consumed by millions of people. Tech Stack: Their infrastructure is in Amazon Web Services and as such they make great use of the different capabilities it provides. Their primary editorial tool is a Java based CMS on ECS that integrates with third parties such as Brightcove Video for specialist needs. Their supporting services are built with the appropriate tool as decided by the team. The Ideal Candidate: You will be a generalist, with backend experience and an interest in working across the full stack. You will have experience working collaboratively within a web development team with a non-hierarchical structure, be self-directed and happy to work on your own initiative.
