Overview
We are a small general practice which due to expansion needs a senior assistant to assist with the accounting and tax function, oversee the running of client payrolls and the maintenance of bookkeeping work, and deal with other ac hoc tasks. 5 years experience in a small practice would be an advantage. Dependent on previous experience and training, the applicant does not necessarily need to have an accounting qualification. This is a full time post, but we would consider candidates wishing to work part time. Whilst the work is mainly accounts preparation, knowledge of payroll and personal and business tax would be beneficial. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision, and to be able to supervise others. Must be proficient in Excel and comfortable with IT generally
