Overview
We have a great opportunity to join an experienced, specialist technical team at our office in Telford. Hubken Group is a leading provider of digital learning platforms in the UK. We work with organisations across all sectors, from high street retailers to county councils, supporting them to implement digital learning solutions in their business. We work with Totara Learn and Moodle, the global leaders in open source learning management systems. We’re passionate about delivering service excellence to our clients. You’ll receive full training and work with the team to develop all the skills you’ll need to become an expert in the role. Within 12 months you can expect to be supporting clients across both platforms and adding your input to the development of our bespoke deployment services and processes. Our technical support team is crucial to ensuring the smooth running of our clients’ systems including troubleshooting technical issues, performing upgrades, installing plugins etc. In addition, you’ll have an important role to play working with developers in testing and documenting software development projects. With both client work and when working with colleagues, you’ll be prepared to be proactive and think outside of the box. Your client work will focus around our state-of-the-art support and scheduling portal, so excellent written communication skills are a must. You’ll need to be confident in picking up the phone and resolving queries directly with clients too, so an impeccable telephone manner is essential. About you You already work with, or have good experience of, Linux/PHP/MySQL/Apache and have an active interest in developing those skills. Even better if you understand Clusters, Bash and Python. You’re organized and thrive on meeting and beating deadlines. You have knowledge of Git and networks. You’re excited about a new challenge in a fast-paced business sector.
