Description Efficient Talent are pleased to be working with a new client on an exclusive basis in the mission to grow their consultancy to one of the largest implementors of fintech technology into banking. Our client started operating this year and is run by a leadership team formed of ex consulting professionals, their mission, to work with progressive clients, technology platforms and service partners who are at the forefront of making financial services more effective, agile and safe. Our client’s culture is one of innovation and energy, and their clients are broadly spread across the banking and fintech space, making this an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving start-up. During Phase 1 of this client’s growth, we are looking for four entry level data engineers to join the team. Successful candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to code in either Java, Python or Scala (with Scala being a huge advantage). As the role is in consulting, and based on client site, communication is key and successful candidates will need to be able to work well with clients to understand requirements and drive projects forward. As a Junior Consultant in Data Engineering you will be implementing FinTech platforms for a Client base including some of the world’s largest banks. You will be physically located on client site from day one and will be working with high profile and large financial institutions. You will be connecting internal and external data to uncover hidden relationships and behaviours to power next generation enterprise intelligence. Your responsibilities will include: Assist with the coding and building of the fintech platforms Undergo industry recognised training and obtain relevant qualifications Actively get involved in the new consulting community Requirements Relevant Degree e.g. Data Engineering, Data Science, or Similar STEM Degree Essential: Coding/programming experience in e.g. Java, Python, Scala Clear Interest in Data and Data Engineering Willing to learn Scala and be trained on a leading fintech platform As a Junior Consultant in Data Engineering you will: Be proactive/driven Have great communication skills Ability to build positive working relationships Enjoy an agile working environment Teamwork Benefits: Competitive Graduate salary Agile/ Flexible working Professional training and acreditiation Central London location
