Overview
The Company We are supporting an fantastic business based in the centre of Newcastle with the recruitment of an experienced Devops Engineer. The role will join a large and well established, multi-discipline IT department who are developing and supporting a range of web and mobile based applications. The Devops engineers work alongside the infrastructure and development teams who support Azure and on-premise solutions. The Role You'll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring resilience/availability of all infrastructure, environments, applications and services that form part of the CI/CD pipeline. Supporting application releases to ensure new features are promoted through the CI/CD pipeline appropriately to all environments whilst maintaining availability and accuracy. As the company continue their move towards cloud based solutions you'll be responsible for use of Infrastructure as Code and automation to improve efficiencies and ensure consistency across environments. The Person Candidates will need a solid understanding of general networking however should also have strong scripting skills and experience working with Azure, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, App Services/Web Apps, Storage Containers, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Network Security Groups, Application Gateways and Key Vault. Candidates with exposure to CI/CD tooling such as Octopus Deploy, TFS, GIT and Azure DevOps will be of interest Ideally you'll have Infrastructure as Code automation experience preferably using Terraform, PowerShell DSC and Octopus Deploy The role comes with a salary of up to £47, 000 and excellent benefits package.
