Overview
Due to a recent system upgrade, a Purchase Ledger Clerk is required for a reputable transport business in central Southampton for a period of 2 months. The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be offered flexible working hours, onsite parking / excellent transport links and a friendly team to bring the successful Purchase Ledger clerk up to speed. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be working part of a team 4, investigating invoice queries with the aim to resolve payment issues promptly. Given the new system upgrade and expansion plans, it is very like the role will be converted into a permanent position Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for: Matching purchase orders and invoices Processing supplier invoices and credit notes Preparing invoices for authorisation Reconciling supplier statements Setting up new suppliers Reconciling and process company credit card transactions Making ad hoc payments when requested Support with invoice queries What you will need: Experience in one or more of the following roles: Accounts Administrator / Finance Administrator / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Payable Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Bookkeeper Excellent attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills 2 years Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience What you will get: Onsite parking Flexible working hours Excellent transport links 25 days holiday The Niche Partnership is acting as a recruitment business in relation to this role.
