Trailblazing Insurtech looking for Senior Data Scientist to contribute to new Real Time Intelligence Platform Your new company Your new firm will be a government venture capital backed trailblazer in the Insurtech community. You will be looking to join an ambitious firm with their sights set on licensing their technology platform worldwide, as they partner with international insurers to dominate their niche in the market and make the world a smarter and safer place. Your new role You will pair up with the product, engineering, strategy and insurance teams within the firm to help build and contribute to their world leading Risk Intelligence Engine. This software be able to price multiple types of insurance in real-time. The opportunity to learn and develop is key within this firm, with personal mentoring and a generous personal development budget provided to help you reach your developmental goals. What you'll need to succeed You will work with a state-of-the-art data stack, and exercise judgement in key decisions, such as assessing trade-offs between statistical modelling and heuristic based algorithms for example. If you have skills in one or more of the following, I encourage you to apply: You have experience working in Data Science within the Insurance industry You enjoy writing code in Python, R, or a similar programming language You stayed informed of cutting edge data science industry developments, and have a clear grasp of when to prioritize complex non-standard methods over faster simpler approaches You are excited by decoding mathematical processes, and converting them to code, and have experience mapping business processes and needs onto mathematical models Experience working with some or all of the tech stack: Python, Jupyter, Postgres, NodeJS, Airflow, DBT, Haskell, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker.
