CHILDCARE SOLICITOR - ROTHERHAM The Firm Our client is a specialist firm based in Rotherham, who is highly regarded for their expertise in family matters. Staffed by a team of dedicated lawyers, who are specialists in their field they provide comprehensive advice and endeavour to exceed clients expectations at all time. With numerous accreditations including Lexcel they have a growing and loyal client base and are now seeking the right candidate for the public children's law team. The Role This is an exciting position for a pro-active and experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a busy team in Rotherham. Working alongside experienced fee earners, the successful Childcare Solicitor will handle a full and varied caseload of predominantly parent public law childcare work. The successful candidate will be confident in dealing with difficult clients, able to conduct cases throughout commencement to final order to include advocacy at least at interim hearings and will require minimal supervision. The range of cases will span from all levels of public law Children Act proceedings to adoption, Special Guardianship and pre-proceeding disputes with Social Services. In addition it is preferable that the Solicitor with have the Law Society Children Panel qualification. With lots of client contact this is a hands-on role suited to a professional with strong interpersonal skills. The Candidate You must be a Solicitor with a minimum of three years' PQE gained in a reputable Childcare department; The Law Society Children Panel Qualification or Family Law Accreditations are desirable but not essential; You will have excellent communication and client care skills; You will be a pro-active team player and able to work on your own initiative; You will be IT Literate; You will have the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst under pressure; You will have good organisational and time management skills; You will have a desire to participate in professional development.
