Overview
Cardiff City Council are looking to appoint a number of Newly Qualified Social Workers to work across their locality teams, within Children in Need and Looked After Children Teams. The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified social worker who has a placement within children services. The role will involve S ection.47 enquiries Participating in strategy discussions, and undertaken assessments of risk and harm. Assessing, de-escalating and managing cases within social care. Skilled at relationship based practice, and able to reach and engage the most difficult families particularly understanding barriers, and cultures. Complete court reports where domestic abuse and neglect were of primary concern Undertake Short Breaks Assessments Conduct Single Assessments Chair Child Protection Meetings Work with Looked After Children Formulate Care Plans or vulnerable children and their families Candidates who are car drivers are preferred as role is based across Cardiff.
