Children's residential support worker needed for mental health home in Halesowen,competitive salary benefits Your new company Your new company is one of the UK's leading specialist Children's services'. They provide residential, education and mental health services nationwide. Your new role Your new position will be based at a children's mental health home in Halesowen. The home's mission is to ensure that every young person is safe and free from harm and to provide individual and unique care to each young person. The home caters for a range of cultures and ethnicities with variable emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. Duties may include: Establishing positive relationships with the young people and offering help and support when needed. Ensuring that each young people's care plan is followed accordingly to reflect their challenging needs. Helping the young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding success. Attending to childcare matters such as cooking and cleaning. What you'll need to succeed To succeed you will need experience working with children in a residential setting. The organisation would ideally prefer for you to have a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification - however qualifications and training will be provided. The Home Manager is looking for a candidate who is motivated and has is driven to work in the social care industry.
