Overview
Would you like to be the DevOps Engineer for the largest implementation of AWS Lambda in Europe? Do you relish the challenge of building first-class AWS services and CI/CD pipelines? Then this DevOps Engineer role could be the one for you. We are working with a well-known retail company, that has bucked the industry trend and delivered great financial results over the past couple of years. Key to their success has been an ambitious re-platforming which has ensured they are a market leader in eCommerce. The new platform has been built in TypeScript (Node/React) and is hosted on AWS - they are now the largest consumer of AWS Lambda in Europe. The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, defining infrastructure as code patterns and contributing to our DevOps culture. Mainly working on various projects - like the building of cool new features - you will be expected to understand requirements then deliver solutions that will ensure our customer can meet expected performance and reliability standards. Our expectation is that you will have performed at least one role as a DevOps Engineer/Platform Engineer and will be comfortable building deployment pipelines. You will need to be comfortable with regular scripting, we mainly use Python but don't mind if you've used other languages in the past.
