Overview
Newly created position for an experience C# Software Engineer to join a government organisation currently undertaking a period of growth and transformation. The main focus of the role is to work within the Digital Solutions team to provide solutions to business changes by providing software development and support services. The person in this role will be required to: Develop, and support applications to scheme requirements, within a formal team structure. Work closely with the Project Manager, providing a technical and application perspective throughout the project lifecycle. Suggest and implement improvements to the application development process, such as continuous integration, automation of build, deploy and test etc. Ensure that business applications developed internally and externally are technically and functionally suitable. As this is very much a hands on development role, indepth experience of the following is required: Microsoft .NET (C#) SQL Server Development ASP.Net MVC Test Driven Development Agile Scrum (TDD) Continuous Integration, build and deployment automation Knowledge and experience of some of the following: Object-Oriented Design Development techniques and design patterns Agile Methodologies Relational database design SQL Stored procedures Unit Test Frameworks and Tools (Nunit, Moq, etc) Version Control tools and workflows (TFS, GIT) Javascript frameworks (Angular, React) This is an exceptional opportunity to join a company with an excellent reputation as an employer who in addition to being able to offer a secure and stable working environment, adopt and promote a culture of autonomy and personal development throughout the organisation.
