Construction Logistics Manager | Aberdeen | Permanent Your new company Due to the on-going success of our key client's Construction business we are looking to recruit a Construction Logistics Manager / General Foreman. They have recently secured many contracts that are long term and are based in the Aberdeen area. This is an excellent job opportunity to join a construction business who have been established for over fifty years. You will be joining a major Scottish contractor who specialises in residential, commercial, leisure and education sectors. This is a permanent job attracting a competitive salary & benefits package. Your new role As a Logistics Manager your job will be to oversee the planning, execution and control of all site operations and vehicle management. This includes: materials, transport and the stationing of workers on site. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Managers on site ensuring you are working effectively so that the programme of works is running efficiently according to timescales and costs. Duties Include: Management of the day to day site access operations and vehicle management Responsible for controlling access to the gate on site Liaison with the public regarding site operations, restrictions, health & safety Responsible for ensuring safe and secure opening and closing of site and following all security protocols Managing site waste Dealing with sub-contractors Coordination of deliveries and ensuring health and safety is upheld What you will need to succeed I would like to speak with people who have had experience in a similar role and are used to managing the movement of people, goods and equipment on a construction site and who have had to manage construction site facilities. You must have: CSCS SMSTS OR SSSTS Current full UK driving licence Desirable: Recognised safety programme, qualified and up to date First Aid Lifting Supervisor Certification What you'll get in return You will have the opportunity to work with a leading construction business who are proud to develop their employees, offering excellent career development.
