Overview
Meraki Talent’s industry leading Financial Services client are looking for a Fund Accounting Manager to join a busy Fund Accounting team based in Edinburgh This is your chance to join a successful team where hard work is recognised. Responsibilities of the Position: Management of fund accounting and reporting and all associated areas for all Open ended funds (financial statements, yields, distributions and Financial Reporting to Group Finance) Management of Senior Financial Reporting Accountants and Financial Reporting Accountants locally including but not limited to career plans for staff, staff development, staff training, staff appraisal and staff performance measurement Assist Senior Open Ended Reporting Manager in developing strategy for open ended funds Management of administrators and service relationship for open ended funds Assist in development and enhancement of appropriate management information and key performance indicators for open ended funds Ensure quality in the implementation of system and process improvements within the department and ensure best practice is shared across the site Prepare accurate and comprehensive management information within the timescales agreed Lead by example displaying strong values and beliefs and a commitment to encouraging individuals to put the client at the front of everything that they do Demonstrate a strong understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigated Liaise with, challenge and understand both internal and external Audit requirement Background of the Position: Significant fund accounting experience NAV exposure Professional Accountancy qualification Demonstrable experience of managing large teams Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook) Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders across the business Excellent organisational and administration skills Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
