Due to growth and expansion this worldwide market leading multinational engineering company working with clients in the automotive, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, oil and gas, renewable and food processing industries are now seeking driven Mechanical Design Engineers who are interested in working in the area of automation and pneumatics products. The company offers excellent training and career progression The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing requests for customised existing pneumatic and automation products from sales to ensure specification is clear and viable. They will carry out testing of pneumatic products. They will be responsible for ensuring timely completion of own projects. They be involved in providing technical product support sales subsidiaries. They will visit clients / customers to determine technical requirements for special products. At times they will be participating in technical market research activities. At times involved in technical support concerning directives and standards relevant to pneumatic products (mainly Pressure equipment directive, ATEX, machinery safety standards) They will participate on larger projects with supervision from senior Engineer if required. They will be working with designers to create concept designs to meet customer’s request. Skills and Qualifications required: A degree (2.1 Preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or similar Aero-mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace, Mechatronics and Electro-Mechanical Engineering etc Some experience of managing small projects Experience of working in a design environment Some experience in writing technical reports Experience of working with customers or suppliers The ability to work as part of a multicultural team. Able to travel to European customers when required PC skills: minimum MS Word and Excel Excellent spoken and written English Desirable (but not essential skills) Experience is a volume manufacturing company Experience in design of machined parts Knowledge of CE and related standards If you are interested in this opening, please do apply now to avoid dissapointment
