Overview
Change Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a key client within the higher education sector in search of 2x experienced Part-Qualified/ Qualified by Experience Accountants to join their Head Office team based in Glasgow on a 12month Fixed Term Contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly self-sufficient candidate with strong communication skills and the ability to work to multiple deadlines, using their own initiative under minimal supervision. We are keen to speak to candidates who have a strong background within a similar role, who can perform the following duties: · Involvement in month end processes · Participating in the preparation of Management Accounts · Review all balance sheet items to ensure validity and recoverability where necessary. · Performing balance sheet account reconciliations - researching and resolving any reconciling items on a monthly basis · Performing prepayments and accruals · Monitoring spend against budget across a number of cost centres Key essentials: · Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial · Experience of month end reporting, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations · Strong computer literacy skills · Excellent attention to detail skills · Highly organised and self-sufficient · Ability to work within a fast-paced and challenging environment For your efforts, my client are offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits which include 36 days annual leave and onsite health facilities, and a fantastic working environment.
