Overview
Job Advertisement Early learning & childcare in North Lanarkshire is going through a period of transformation change. By 2020 funded placements will almost double to 1140 hours a year, for all three and four year olds and eligible two year olds. Are you child centred and have an understanding of child development? If so, then we want to hear from you. We are now recruiting for the pivotal roles of Head of Centres, across various locations. We have 16 Family Learning Centres across the local authority area. The service is registered for children aged 2-5 years and operates 48 weeks per year, from 8am to 6pm. Extended provision is available for parents/carers in addition to the statutory entitlement. Successful applicants should have considerable knowledge and experience in working in a managerial and leadership role, whilst having extensive experiences of leading early years practitioners in working with children aged 2 to 5 years. You must hold either a BA in Childhood Practice or an equivalent childcare degree is essential.
