Job Description Senior Early Childhood Practitioners - PKC06473 £26,372 - £29,225 (Based on 36 Hours per week, Whole Year Working) Various Locations Throughout the Perth & Kinross Council Area As part of the Scottish Governments expansion for Early Years, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent Senior Early Childhood Practitioner role within Perth & Kinross Council. Our aim is to provide child-centred Early Learning and Childcare (aged 2-5 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity. You will assist in the organisation and management of the service for the benefit of all children, families and the wider community. You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible childcare and early education service, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families in the centre and its surrounding community, within the context of both authority and nursery policies and procedures. You must have SNNB/HNC/SVQ 111 in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional studies e.g. PDA or modules from a relevant degree and have a commitment to work towards a qualification to allow registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Lead Practitioner i.e. diploma/degree in Early Childhood Practice within SCCC timescales.
