I am currently recruiting a Head of Property for a council in Oxford. £70,000 local government pension. A really interesting role, that will involve developing a new commercial property strategy, implementing a corporate landlord model and leading the property function through a change program. Previous council experience would be advantageous but is not essential. I need a passionate property leader. This recruitment process will run as normal. Client Details My client is a council in Oxford with a large operational and commercial property portfolio. They are able to be supportive of agile working and have flexy time available. Description The key responsibilities of the Head of Property will be: - To develop and push forward a new commercial investment strategy - Help lead on the implementation of a new corporate landlord model - Help manage a team of 20 commercial and operational staff, with two managers in the two teams. - Help develop continuous development of the members of your team - Be the lead figure on all property related matters to the elected members and other statutory officers of the council. Profile The successful Head of Property would need MRICS, and would ideally have the following experience: - Experience of developing a commercial property investment program - Experience of leading on change programs - A firm understanding of estates and asset management - An understanding of socio economic factors when investing - Someone who is comfortable managing a team of 20 - Someone who is excited by a challenge Job Offer The financial offer is a salary of £70,000 local government pension membership fees paid for.
