Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Projects Infrastructure Build Engineer - Microsoft Application Stack Barlborough, Chesterfield Up to £45,000 Your new role My client is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Build Engineer to work in the Portfolio Delivery Team. You will have extensive experience across the Microsoft Application Stack. The successful candidate will have a broad IT infrastructure knowledge and have experience of delivering IT projects. Responsibilities The role will see you working on the full life-cycle of projects and you will be a key part of their planning, delivery and handover into operational IT areas. You will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions to timescales and cost. This will be done in accordance with the groups IT standards, project management processes and methodology, working closely with the delivery lead and technical lead to plan, test and implement projects as prioritised by the Business. All solutions will be accompanied by supporting documentation allowing support teams to maintain the service for the life of the solution. Development and support will be provided by the Infrastructure Technical Lead to ensure you are given the correct training and the ability to develop within the group. Experience needed My client is looking for a candidate that has very strong technical skills and project delivery experience. They would have a track record of experience working with the Microsoft Application Stack and Cisco as well as knowledge of other Infrastructure products and technologies. As part of the Portfolio Delivery team you will work closely and build relationships with other IT areas, third party suppliers and the wider business to provide new solutions for the benefit of the business, IT and its customers. Fostering and enhancing strong working relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues will be crucial for the role. Possession of a broad technical understanding of IT Infrastructure and a track record of designing and delivering Projects would be a major asset. Experience of working within an ITIL Service Management environment (and holding ITIL qualifications) would be highly desirable as would appreciation of the importance of transitioning solutions seamlessly from project delivery to operational support. Skills required Windows Server 2008 - 2016 Citrix Microsoft IIS Active Directory Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 7 and 10 Networking knowledge including supporting and implementing Cisco networking experience, switches, routers, ASA devices Exchange Online, Azure and other Office 365 services.
