Overview
Job title: Pharmacist (G7) Location: London Rate: up to £350 per day via Umbrella company or £290 per day paye Duration: to start ASAP till 14th August 2020 Key responsibilities include To manage medicines shortages and discontinuations, including assessing their impact, identifying the options and devising strategies for their management. This will include escalating more serious issues to the Medicine Shortages Response Group and briefing Ministers on medicines shortages where necessary. To work with stakeholders to develop communications for the NHS which contains information about impending medicine supply issues and proposed management plans. This will include working with the SPS to keep the new NHS shortages portal updated, which will provide information about all new and current shortages. To provide regular advice to the MHRA regarding regulatory issues that have the potential to impact the UK supply chain. To develop and strengthen links with NHS England, Public Health England, the MHRA and global counterparts, working with them to develop agreed approaches to managing medicines supply. To provide professional advice to other parts of MPD and DHSC on a wide range on medicines supply issues, including pandemic and seasonal flu planning. To provide professional input to the operation of the Voluntary scheme for branded medicines pricing and access and the pricing of medicines more generally. The successful candidate Masters of Pharmacy (MPharm) and current registration with the GPhC Recent experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
