DevOps Engineer – London Who you’ll be working with Capgemini’s financial services specialists provide a complete range of services to help our clients capture sustainable business results. Our Financial Services Strategic Business Unit is a global organization which focuses on key financial services domains: Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Payments & Cards, Wealth and Asset Management, and Risk Management & Compliance. In addition to these domain areas, we have global practices that are dedicated to building innovative solutions in the areas of Business Information Management, Channels, Finance Transformation, Technology Development & Integration. The focus of the role Capgemini Financial Services is looking to hire a number of DevOps Engineers. A successful candidate will bring thought leadership, depth of experience within DevOps What you’ll do Development of cloud features and enhancements using the approved automation and CI/CD tooling within AWS Provide an effective development environment for developers enabling them to focus on developer productivity Act as a DevOps evangelist helping people to understand the benefits, challenges and implications of adopting DevOps, and helping teams move to this model Document the standards for other teams to follow when delivering automation and tooling changes Build relationships & collaborate across the technical community to establish and implement consistent architecture across all Digital platforms which delivers future technology Support continuous delivery approach including tooling and automated testing and deployments Management of all environments including maintaining an evergreen estate Proactively manage environment costs to remain in budget and identify opportunities to reduce cost Define, implement and manage access controls to environments to keep the business safe Own best practice for DevOps and migrate each team to that standard Build and maintain a strong relationship with architecture and migration teams to enable the highest level of understanding of the cloud platform environments and stacks Support and enable the migration of applications from on-premise to Cloud and/or Hybrid Cloud Plan and implement relevant solutions in collaboration with development and operation teams Ensure you are always delivering to the SoW requirements Join sprint planning and retrospectives, and prioritise and manage work using planning tools e.g. Jira Ensure applications and environments are monitored Endure uptime of platform systems, and assist in resolution of outages (as agreed with Operations teams) What you’ll bring Relevant technical experience in related roles providing multi-tier technical support or software engineering Experience of environment and deployment automation Proficiency with Amazon AWS (e.g. VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS etc) Demonstrable proficiency in programming/scripting languages e.g. PowerShell, Python, Shell, Bash Experience with version control systems e.g. TFS, Git, Bitbucket Experience with infrastructure-as-code software e.g. Terraform Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft technologies i.e. BizTalk, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MS SQL Server and IIS web server Excellent configuration management tooling knowledge e.g. Puppet, Ansible and or Chef Experience of monitoring tools e.g. CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk Experience of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipelines e.g. Jenkins, Team City, Octopus Deploy Experience of using secret management tools e.g. HashiCorp Vault knowledge with automated testing tools such as ServerSpec, SpecFlow Experience with containerisation tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes is beneficial but not a requirement Advanced Windows and/or Linux systems administration skills including firewalls, peering etc Excellent communication skills Excellent analytical and documentation skills What we’ll offer you Professional development.
