If you answered YES then apply today and join Covance Job Responsibilities: - Follow Planned Preventative Maintenance regime for Electrical/Mechanical equipment, fire alarms, boiler plant, electrical distribution, lighting, BMS controls, AHU’s, pumps, standby generators, etc. - Completing internal work requests on building services, integrity, infrastructure and undertake minor works as required - Provide Technical assistance to Team Leader for Electrical/Mechanical problems encountered on site. - Calibration and commissioning of equipment to Standard Operating Procedures, keeping accurate records at all times - Member of the out of hour’s call-out team - Monitor, repair and replace controls equipment to building management systems. Commission as necessary. - Follow the company’s safe systems of work - Liaise with other departments when working on plant or equipment which may cause disruption ensuring that department personnel are informed prior to work commences. - Work to relevant Company SOP’s - Observe safety regulations when carrying out work with regard to self and others - Manage sub-contractors through disruption of services. - Perform escort duties of contractors for out of hours operation - Minor installation works as and when required. - Ensure two way communication with customers to help develop service requirement Education/Qualifications - A time served Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in relevant Electrical or Mechanical discipline - Proven experience of an engineering and building services maintenance background in a complex and variety of building types - Detailed working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical building services. - Working knowledge of Steam systems, HWS systems, Air Handling systems, refrigeration systems - Held a similar position for at least 3 years - Health & Safety awareness. - Working Knowledge of Building Management systems - Computer literate - Understanding of office tools Experience - Self-starter able manage own work load and prioritise daily work load between PPM and reactive works allocated - Multi skilled trade knowledge with a specialist knowledge of electrical fault finding and rectification demonstrated from experience or trade qualifications - Verbal and written communication skills to report into the operational management any current system outages and progress reports until the situation is rectified - Input into the plant and equipment condition survey as directed by local management - Implement any small capital replacement plans in conjunction with the projects team as directed by the local management team - Able to set and drive your daily expectations and escalate when assistance is required - Able to articulate complex/technical issues to line management and local departments - The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload in a reactive environment - Strong time management skills - IT experience- Excel, Power point, Outlook, Facilities Management system - Practical, flexible and innovative approach to work This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89741067
