Due to continual growth, they are seeking a talented Senior Javascript and PHP Developer to join their experienced team of developers. As a senior developer, you will have extensive experience of designing and coding high quality commercial PHP applications. You must possess in depth knowledge of native PHP, frameworks (They use Zend but experience with similar is fine), designing libraries, REST & SOAP web services and be meticulous in your attention to detail. You'll be able to produce elegant solutions with low code defects as well as being able to disseminate your knowledge and experience across the team. You will be working on a variety of complex projects for blue chip customers which run in a multi-tiered Linux based voice/web platform. Key responsibilities: · Produce technical design and documentation whilst working with stakeholders to ensure the technical requirements of projects are captured · Build high quality commercial PHP applications from inception through to fruition · Share your knowledge and passion for technologies · Focussed on driving quality in all aspects of development Working with a team of developers, you will expected to build on your existing experience and gain domain specific specialist knowledge with new technologies (a keenness for React, Redux, Vue would be great) You grasp concepts, build relationships and communicate clearly with the team. You will work on both internal and customer facing projects, on occasion autonomously, as well as with the team. Technical skills required for the role are: · PHP; significant commercial experience · Zend, Symphony, Laravel · React, Redux, Vue, ES6 · Automated testing, tooling & profiling (PHPUnit, Composer, Xdebug) · Designing, documenting and writing libraries & web service APIs (SOAP & REST) · Strong database knowledge (SQL) · Experience with version control (SVN/Git) · Basic Linux administration knowledge (command line) · Knowledge of website security (common vulnerabilities & mitigation techniques) · Performance tuning & measurement Whilst not all essential, any of the following experience would be beneficial: · Development workflow tooling (continuous integration, configuration management), Web Sockets, node.js, HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), user experience, PCI-DSS and web application security · They have a variety of technologies in their stack, including: PHP, Zend Framework, MySQL/NoSQL databases, JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Vue, Backbone and Angular) and Node.js.
