Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Conduct routine, preventative and breakdown maintenance to equipment and machines within our Swindon manufacturing plant. (Machines include manual / CNC – metal working machines). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES This role is for the night shift Maintain and repair a range of production machines. Preventative maintenance scheduling implementation. Breakdown planning and scheduling. Liaise with departments and suppliers regarding maintenance issues. Carry out ongoing maintenance of the upkeep of the building. To ensure relevant company policies and procedures are adhered to, to ensure compliance of health, safety and environmental regulations. Problem solving of technical issues in relation to maintenance issues. NOTE: This job description is not exhaustive and the jobholder may be expected to perform other reasonable duties as and when required. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Experience Experience conducting repairs within a production environment. Experience of using access equipment. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, safe lifting and handling procedures. Skills Ability to analyse and fault find mechanical / electrical breakdowns rapidly. Ability to read schematic drawings. Able to work under own initiative and with minimal supervision. Circuit testing. Personal Qualities Practical, adaptable and dynamic in approach. Flexibility with regards to completing jobs or attending to maintenance call outs
