SENIOR DATA ENGINEER SUCCESSFUL TECH STARTUP LONDON £55,000-65,000 A start up who have successfully disrupted their chosen industry and grown to over 150 employees are looking for someone to come in and lead their Data Engineering and work closely with the product team to successfully ingest new data streams to accurately assess the commercial efficacy of tweaks, changes and new features THE COMPANY This company started in 2015 and in 3 years have grown to over 150 employees, had multiple rounds of funding and are backed by major players in their category. They have already made it into the top 10 businesses of their kind in a short time and are very data centric as an organisation THE ROLE If you were to be successful in your application for this Senior Data Engineer, your responsibilities would include: Mostly focused on new project work, creating the ETL tables and working with product in order to capture data into the DWH from new features or products so they can be assessed for commercial efficacy There will be a mix of maintenance work and redesigning and optimising old code as well as creating new pipelines This person will also manage a junior reporting analyst when they start the role with the liklihood of managing a team of two quite soon who you would help to recruit SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE In order for your application for the Senior Data Engineer role to be successful you will need; Strong SQL and the ability to build ETL pipelines and platform data for the purposes of reporting and analytics specifically Accessing data from API's would also be hugely beneficial Ideally some experience with cloud based data warehouses and Python for data manipulation would be good (current tech stack is Amazon Redshift, Matillon, Google Analytics, Python, Mongo DB) Strong experience building or transitioning data warehouses and optimising or performance tuning old code HOW TO APPLY If you are interested in this Senior Data Engineer role, role please apply via this site.
