NOC Engineer

NOC Engineer Position: Permanent Salary: £27,000- £35,000 Location: Warwick We are looking for a NOC Engineer to join a large UK telecommunications business based in Warwick. The main responsibility will be Maintain the availability, performance and security of a critical infrastructure system. The role is based around a 12 hour shift rotation (4/4) utilising tools such as System Center Operations Manager, Cisco Prime, Solarwinds and McAfee ePO to report and investigate potential issues. You will be a key player in supporting the technical support team whilst working with on-going support delivery following transition. Technical requirements: - Certification of the following would be beneficial: VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco knowledge - LAN / WAN, Juniper, IP Trade. - McAfee SIEM Security - Security Information Events Management knowledge - IT / ICT further education - Vendor certification of the following would be beneficial: VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco knowledge - LAN / WAN, Juniper, IP Trade. - McAfee Enterprise Security Manager - Security Information Events Management knowledge. - McAfee ePO Engineer Responsibilities: - Address ticketed issues either by resolving the issue, or assigning to internal staff (engineers) or external providers (such as suppliers of equipment) to resolution. - Proactively update tickets to ensure all the information relating to an incident so all parties have visibility of the investigation steps and resolution. - Configuration and replacement of datacentre equipment such as Cisco and Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco and Dell server hosts whilst maintaining system operation. - Configuration and replacement of Rail Operating Centre operations floor equipment such as workstations, turrets and phones. - Understand and adhere to all TPCMS policies, procedures and processes. - Ensure all Service Level Agreement targets are exceeded. - Support the maintenance and improvements to all policies, procedures and processes.
