Job Role: Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger Clerk Job Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Orpington Hours: 9 - 5 Interviews: Tuesday 25th February 2020 - onwards Start date: ASAP Salary Expectations: £18,000 - £22,000 My client is a major UK retailer with over 50 stores through the UK. They are now looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their accounts team based in headquarters. You will be required to perform daily tasks in the invoice to payment process ensuring that supplier invoices and payments are process accurately and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will join a team of 7 in accounts and will report into the Financial Operations Manager. This is a full-time opportunity being offered on a permanent basis. Once the probation period of 3 months is complete, you will be eligible for company benefits which come as an employee. KEY DUTIES: Reconciliation of store takings, ensuring that discrepancies are investigated thoroughly and in a timely manner Escalation of any banking discrepancies as appropriate through to full resolution Assistance in the preparation of reporting relating to store banking Processing and matching a high volume of invoices, ensuring that all deadlines are met for payment processing Supplier statement reconciliations Resolution of any supplier and store queries relating to invoicing Assisting in preparation and production of supplier payments, ensuring that payments are accurate and to terms Liaison with the Buying team to resolve any price discrepancies Creation of purchase orders within Navision Balance sheet reconciliations Taking calls and messages for teams at Head Office CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Enthusiastic and experienced within accounts payable and receivables functions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook) Pivot tables / V Look Up experience (desired) Good attention to detail Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure Methodical and thorough approach to work A great team player Please note that interviews will be held week commencing Tuesday 25th February 2020.
