Overview
Support Worker - Adult Services Your new company My client is a large provider of supported living and residential care services in the West of Scotland, focussing predominantly on adults with learning disabilities. The business is going through a period of expansion and are looking for a a number of experienced Support Workers to join them on a temporary basis. Your new role As there are a number of openings currently available, there is an opportunity to find a working pattern that suits you. As a Support Worker, you will be promoting independence and creating opportunities for service users. You will be supporting individuals with a range of complex needs including Autism, Downs Syndrome and mental health disabilities. There will be some challenging behaviour and situations where you need to be able to make quick decisions. What you'll need to succeed Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a desire to improve the quality of other peoples' lives. You will have strong communication skills and be able to adapt to change. The organisation is interested in people who can work both days and nights. You must have worked in a similar setting for at least 6 months in the last 2 years. We offer competitive pay rates dependant on shift type, free training and will secure a check on your existing PVG of which we will pick up the cost.
