Overview

Maintenance Engineering role with mechanical bias for a large aerospace company based in Accrington Your new company They are a well established company providing a range of products for the aerospace industry from engine parts to ejection seats. They have sites in multiple countries. However, the site you will be at mainly produces components for the engines and have been established for over 20 years at this site. They produce specialist components for a number of clients and there products are used globally. They are number one supplier in the world for the product that they manufacture. Your new role You will be in a hands on role reporting to the maintenance team leader. You will support the maintenance team leader in managing activities across the site and delivering KPI's as well as fitting bearings etc. You will be required to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across the site to effectively prioritise machine breakdowns to deliver to customer requirements. Furthermore, you will be developing maintenance programmes to fulfil what the business requires alongside the maintenance team leader. This role is a very physically demanding role that will require the necessary mechanical skill set. What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will be time served as a maintenance engineer and have some working experience with CNC Machinery to effectively succeed in this position. Some of the machines used consist of, but are not limited to, Mazak, Hermle, Grob, Liechti and Matsuura. Experience of electrical/electronic/pneumatic/hydraulic systems would be an advantage. You should also be able to effectively work in a team and bring along a good team spirit as well as being able to work independently. Fault finding is also required. You will need to be able to effectively work within a team and manage the hard and skilled work load. What you'll get in return In return you will receive an hourly rate of £17.20 per hour and you will be required to work Tuesday - Friday from 7am until 4:45pm meaning you will always get Monday off. You will also receive extra pay when on a 24hr call out rota. There is a subsidised canteen on-site as well as on-site parking and 33 days annual leave including bank holidays. They also have a great pension scheme where if you were to put in 8% the company would be putting in 12%. You will be given skills whilst there to become more skilled in the electrical side of work to increase your ability because they want an ambitious engineer to progress within the company.
