Overview
Working for a large commercial business based in Ely within an established and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career or looking to take their first step out of Practice into a commercial environment. You will be responsible for the timely preparation of company financial information to meet group reporting deadlines including: annual company budget and 3-year plan, including shared service charges and allocations. monthly reporting pack, including balance sheet control accounts and bank reconciliations. annual audit, statutory financial statements and National Statistics submissions. Fulfil landlord responsibilities (CAPEX, repairs etc.) for sites rented out to other group companies, ensuring that CAPEX request forms for are prepared and include detailed investment appraisal and payback / benefits analysis. Assist in the preparation of the consolidated group numbers for the annual audit and complete statutory financial statements for the group. Ensure policies and procedures relevant to the role are maintained, updated and lead to continuous improvement activities and complete Internal Audit assignments as agreed with the Group Financial Controller. Assist with the preparation and submission of group VAT returns and provide Treasury and Group reporting support as required. Provide training and development opportunities for the Accounts assistant and conduct regular progress reviews.
