Overview

Linux System Administrator / Lead Infrastructure Engineer (with DevOps ambitions): Due to continued growth and expansion into new markets our Client are expanding their technology team. They are looking to consolidate and simplify their infrastructure and development workflow so you will be responsible for helping to architect robust and scalable infrastructure solutions based on the AWS cloud to help support their growing business. By moving to a continuous deployment model they hope to ship better code, faster and allow them to focus more on delivering great products to their customers without having to worry about their deployment and development workflows so much. Working under CTO you will be helping to transform their current infrastructure and reduce infrastructure costs, bringing their product set onto a unified platform that will allow easier management and scaling. They follow agile principles and all opinions matter equally, from their junior developers upwards. This is a real opportunity for an ambitious engineer to help shape the future of a successful and growing product in an established team. Essential Skills: Server Administration and Architecture including load balancing and auto scaling groups. (Primary Linux; RHEL and Ubuntu) LAMP, LEMP and MEAN stack deployments Strong working knowledge or MS Windows desktop and server operating system Strong working knowledge of desktop, Laptop and server hardware Strong knowledge of the MS office suite of applications Good working knowledge of networking to include, firewalls, Routers, TCP IP and structured cabling Previous experiencing working with Google Suite, Cloud computing (ideally AWS and / or GCP) and virtualisation, beneficial but not essential Personal Qualities: Self-motivated with the ability to work under your own initiative Ability to work within a team environment Effective communication skills Enthusiastic with a positive attitude Conscientious with an excellent attendance record Motivated through the delivery of a quality service
