Overview

Senior Java Developer London £90K Trust in Soda are looking to attract a Principal Java Engineer for a leading Technology company in the Automotive sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and driven Development team and work on the development of innovative platforms within a forward thinking technical environment. Requirements · Work closely with other teams & key stakeholders to understand the business requirements and drive the design and development of high-quality technical solutions. · Be a technical leader in your technology area (Java), responsible for code reviews of work delivered by more junior members of the development team · Play a key role in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. · Lead development teams across multiple work streams on best design and practice · Play a key role in 1-2-1 reviews with team members to manage development · Ensure best practice in your own delivery, acting as a role model for more junior members of the development team. This includes consistently exceeding the defined development KPIs · Advise and participate in interview and recruitment process, identifying requires skills and knowledge needed within the team. · Identify areas for improvement within your team's delivery. Qualifications & Skills · An in depth understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle (ideally in both waterfall and agile models). · Experience of developing and deploying IT solutions in complex (i.e. multi-project, multi-system) environments and aligned to multiple delivery methodologies · Core technical skillset: Java, Spring, Microservices, AWS · Ability to contribute to technical discussions and ideas · Demonstrable experience in the timely delivery of medium-large scale development programmes/projects · A strong blend of both technical and softer interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a high-performance development team Bonus · Experience with CI/CD tools Perks · Competitive salary · Flexible working opportunities · Health insurance · Bonus · Technology budget · Personal/professional training budgets If interested in the opportunity, please apply with your CV and we will be in touch straight away.
