PDI Technician - Garden Machinery
Overview
PDI Technician - Pre Delivery Inspection Technician - Esher - Surrey We are seeking a PDI Technician for our client in Esher area of Surrey, to work for a leading well established family run business. You will be reporting directly to the Service Manager, and be responsible for the pre-delivery inspection of equipment associated with groundcare machinery, professional and domestic grass machinery and mowers in the workshop. The Role: The role will involve PDI checks and delivery of professional and domestic grass machinery Liaising with customers and suppliers as required Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation such as PDI sheets, Delivery forms and Photo’s as necessary Delivery of machinery Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding You will also be involved in automower repair and will be provided with training for this Duties & Responsibilities: Good, sound knowledge of assembling new professional and domestic Groundcare / Garden / Mowers and groundscare equipment or similar Have a good attention for detail Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area within the workshop Excellent customer service skills Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative Clean and tidy general appearance Maintain a good general level of health and fitness Trailer licence would be advantageous Demonstrate a good understanding of the company’s Health and Safety policy and follow all company procedures as outlined in the company employee handbook Full clean driver’s licence Working Hours: 39hrs per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch) Overtime on completion 39hrs per week will be paid at time and a half Sundays and bank holidays will be paid at double time Salary: Will be provided upon application Benefits: 23 Days Annual Leave (plus bank holiday), Company Sick Pay Scheme, Workplace pension, Childcare vouchers, Staff Discount and Death in Service Cover (2 x salary) Wellington Powell Ltd are working as an Employment Agency to assist our client to fill this role.
