Novum Personnel are currently recruiting for a well-established food company in the Wrexham area for a Maintenance Electrician that has experience in the food industry working on food processing machinery. The successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities but not limited to; - Ensure planned preventative maintenance is carried out in accordance with schedules - Ensure all breakdowns are carried out constructively and accurately - Ensure all parts are booked out correctly and recorded as necessary - To lead any installation of electrical components and infrastructure, ensuring that sign offs, Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place - Attend and contribute to shift change over meetings - Agree job sheets on a daily basis - Work closely with production to achieve production targets - To carry out various tasks to include but are not exclusive to; plant start up, equipment performance monitoring, plant shut down - To install, maintain and carry out improvements to equipment in the factory whilst working closely with other departments - Ensure Maintenance Connection is up to date including proposed corrective actions and that all actions are recorded in an appropriate and timely manner. - To follow the procedure for the ordering of parts and support the stock taking of spares - To be involved in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance factory performance. - To be aware of, understand and adhere to environmental procedures - To be aware of, understand and adhere to food safety and quality procedures - To be aware of, understand and adhere to Bird Welfare procedures - To be aware of, understand and adhere to the maintenance of good GMP - Liaise with the engineering management team The successful candidate for this role will have the following qualifications and experience; - Industry recognised electrical qualification – HNC or equivalent - Certified to NICIEC 17th Edition - Can carry out certified Testing and Inspection to comply with H&S regulation with regards to Electrical connections - Be able to fault find in both electrical and mechanical - Diagnose faults using complex circuit drawings - Experience in fault finding and programming invertors and various PLC’s - Can demonstrate experience in various site systems; CCTV, Access controls, SCADA, machine specific control systems - Be flexible in approach to shift cover and over busy trading periods - Ability to work under pressure - Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, multi-tasking You will have responsibility for the electrical installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment, planned preventative maintenance and breakdown, whilst also ensuring continuous availability across the business. To be on call to rectify and eliminate equipment faults and machine down time and to carry out improvements to equipment, working alongside Production and Technical functions to maintain quality, hygiene, Health & Safety and productivity standards.
