Overview

Role: Electronics Hardware Design Engineer Location: Cheltenham Duration: 9 months Rate: £40/hour IR35 Status: Inside My client are a world-leading provider of commercial, military and business and general aviation jet and turboprop engines and components as well as avionics, electrical power and mechanical systems for aircraft. They are currently looking for 2 experience Electronic Hardware Design Engineers to join their team on a 9 month initial contract to help support on a number of ongoing projects. Activities will include: Requirements authoring High level HW architectural trade studies Architectural design documentation Electronic circuit design, modelling and schematic capture. Authoring of PCB layout guidelines compliant to IPC2221 Supervision of layout activities (performed by offsite sub-contractor) Commissioning and HW/SW integration testing Test specification authoring and results capture Qualification/Experience: Competent in analogue, digital, mixed-signal circuit design of electrical power distribution and power switching electronics. Familiarity with standard schematic capture and layout tools. Familiarity with DOORS for requirements management. Ability to work with Windows 10, MS Office, Visio. Experienced in environmental qualification testing Desired: Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic capture and layout tools.
