Overview

Purpose: To support engineering, maintenance / production and process improvement opportunities in support of Terminal operations, as directed by the Plant Manager, in accordance with all statutory regulations and company MSG's, policies and procedures. Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities: - Identify and develop action plans & initiate engineering changes to drive continual improvement & optimisation to improve the Terminal's performance with respect to HSE, production, cost and reliability to meet Company targets - Provide support to Responsible Engineers for management of PoA Operational engineering issues and changes including safe and efficient execution of all installation, construction and commissioning activities - Provide Operational support & technical guidance to the Production and Maintenance Superintendents as directed by the Plant Manager - Ensure that assurance processes associated with production, management system and HSE PSE (process safety events) are in place and effectively monitored. - Ensure that appropriate competence management systems are effectively implemented. - Provide operations input into shutdown and major plant outage planning and implementation including HAZID/HAZOP/Risk reviews. - Key interface with Onshore Operations Maintenance, Production and Integrity Teams for response/resolution of medium term asset integrity issues. - Key interface with Field Improvements team to identify future changes required to meet the needs of Asset Lifecycle Main Interfaces: INTERNAL: - Plant Manager - Production and Maintenance Superintendents - Field & Offshore Manager - Operations Manager - Onshore Department Managers and Engineers EXTERNAL: - Relevant Government, Regulatory Agencies, Authorities Bodies - Consultants, contractors, vendors, agencies and professional associations Education & Professional Qualifications: - Degree in Science or Engineering or suitable science related qualification, preferred with accreditation by professional body Required Experience and Technical Competencies (relevant experience and technical skills): - Broad knowledge of the drivers that influence oil and gas onshore operations. - Operations experience strongly preferred, including proficiency in operational surveillance, production optimisation and plant maintenance. - Fully knowledgeable in relevant Regulatory requirements and Legislation e.g. COMAH, PUWER, DSEAR, ATX, HSW, RIDDOR. - Demonstrable organisational, planning and reporting skills required. - Detailed knowledge of Management of Change (Engineering Change) processes. Behavioural Competencies: - Highly effective relationship builder with both internal and external management, supervisory and regulatory personnel. Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations. - Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels and encourage a team ethos across core crew and subcontractors.
