Overview

Support Workers Addictions - based Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire Hays Social Care are looking for experienced Support Workers to assist with temporary shift cover for a number of our clients in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire. Working from a number of homelessness units, you will provide support to residents by offering them advice to overcome the barriers they face and support them in their to achieve positive outcomes and eventually move onto independent accommodation. We are interested in speaking to both Male and Female Support Workers who have previous experience of working with individuals with alcohol dependency, substance misuse and mental health issues. There are a variety of shift patterns involved to suit your personal circumstances. The ideal candidates -Should hold a minimum SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and be able to register with the SSSC -Have previous experience of working with service users within this group -Have sound communication skills and and more importantly, be willing to listen to residents -Will have a minimum of 6 months experience gained within the last 2 years and be able to provide referee details for their last 2 social care appointments. We offer competitive rates of pay dependent on shift type. With Hays Social Care, you will receive weekly pay, a free check on your existing PVG and ongoing support from a specialist consultant.
