Locum Planning Solicitor
Overview
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are recruiting for a Locum Planning Solicitor to join a Public Sector organisation based in Somerset. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3 months from April 2020, with the possibility of extension dependent upon workload. The successful applicant will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 3 years experience, have a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed their own caseload of matters in a Local Government environment. In this role, the day-to-day duties will including providing advice on a wide range of planning matters relating to compulsory acquisitions, highways and environmental law. As part of a larger team, the post holder will have to think strategically and creatively about legal issues and their wider context to advise accordingly. Given the current climate, the role is initially offered on a remote working basis and the client is ideally looking for a candidate with capacity for full-time hours.
