Paraplanner Location: Oxford Salary: Highly Attractive salary on offer Hours: This is a full-time, office-based role although there is scope for some flexible working for the right individual Working as part of the team at Mark Barclay Wealth Management who are an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paraplanner to work within a dynamic and fast-growing St. James’s Place Wealth Management Partner Practice. You will be joining the team based in the North Oxford office, ensuring the business generated by the Principal and Associate Partner, whom you will be working alongside, is processed correctly and in a timely manner. This Managing Partner is long established and highly successful. St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (SJP) is a leading, and highly regarded, FTSE 100 UK Wealth Management company which distributes a range of Investment and Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base. SJP has funds under management in excess of £116bn. The Role - Paraplanner The role will include: Collating client information and preparing suitability letters Preparing illustrations and reports for client meetings Managing cases to completion and working with internal processing systems Providing technical support as needed Ensuring that the business obtained is being processed compliantly and in a timely manner Liaising with colleagues and third parties on a daily basis. You will be given full training on the relevant IT systems and you will have the opportunity to progress within the SJP Accreditation framework. The Person - Paraplanner This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a confident, numerate, IT proficient and professional Paraplanner who enjoys using their initiative and can work independently. You will have been working within an IFA or Wealth Management environment and will ideally hold the Level 4 Dip PFS qualification Alternatively, you may be FPC qualified and/or have significant industry experience Ideally with SJP experience or a similar Financial Services / IFA environment You will need to have experience in a Paraplanning role relating to the administration of IHT / Pension / Investment products You will have strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs and be IT literate You are highly organised and have excellent communication skills You will have contact with clients, and it is essential that you are confident in dealing with third parties and can work with total discretion.
