Overview
We are partnered with a leading Video Platform company who are built for live, social and mobile, who are working with the world's largest broadcasters. Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will have exposure to the backend APIs and services that sit at the core of their Platform. Some days you might be part of the team working at the core of services like live transcoding or automated closed captioning; while other days you might be part of the team architecting our platform to improve our path to microservices. Some of your responsibilities will include: Building APIs, architecting and building reliable microservices and serverless architectures Working collaboratively with Product owners to deliver key security, scalability and reliability features Taking ownership of your work/project by designing, building, maintaining, iterating and supporting new features and new products Manage, lead, mentor, and inspire more junior members of the team How to get this job: Proven expertise and professional experience in Java, Spring, NoSQL Knowledge of micro-service-oriented architectures Proven expertise with cloud providers (bonus points for AWS - our chosen cloud provider) Experience with testing (unit tests, UA tests, ) Our client is offering the following package/benefits: Up to £75,000 salary Personal development budget and training material Bi-annual hackathons, security days and tech hour on Wednesday Flexible working hours Work from home options Free breakfast, Friday happy hour and monthly company lunch 25 days holiday and additional unpaid holiday week For more information, please contact Conor Smith at Salt at , or apply here today This job ad was posted by Salt.
