Overview
We are partnered with a fantastic global intelligence platform business who are going through some really exciting growth in Software Engineering, and they're now looking for Senior Backend Engineer to help grow, build and develop their team. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will build features across their ecosystem of products and services, both internal and client facing. They are looking for people who are interested in building software systems to an incredibly high standard, comfortable working across multiple languages, and learn quickly when new technologies are introduced. You will: Build and technically own large areas of their product and service ecosystem Diagnose complex issues across various levels of the stack Improve the performance of their applications Improve developer tooling and processes Understand our business context deeply and leverage your engineering knowledge to propose creative solutions to problems To be successful in this role you will need to have: 4-7 years of experience The ability to write code in a high-level programming language. They primarily work with Ruby, but they also have some Python, Java and Elixir in the stack Have proven technical ownership of a specific application, product area, or level of infrastructure Lead agile software teams Balance deep work with cross team collaboration If you are looking for your next challenge to develop an already successful engineering team (ex-Google & Amazon developer's) and build a world class team then this could be the opportunity for you.
