We are looking for full-time, part-time and relief Support Workers in Mulbarton. If you can demonstrate our values and can support someone to lead the life they want to then Dimensions are looking for you We are recruiting in the Mulbarton area to support ‘John' moving into his new home. ‘John' requires 24/7 support and requires assistance with most tasks. We are looking for staff who can support ‘John' to try new things and develop his opportunities to engage in activities and with others. ‘John' is supported 1:1 around the clock with daily 2:1 support when he is doing activities or out and about in the community. There is also a sleep in member of staff every night. We are looking for individuals who are positive, trustworthy, warm, caring, patient and nurturing with a good sense of humour to support ‘John' who is 60. You must also have a can do attitude be outgoing and active and be willing and motivated to try new things. Family are important to ‘John' and liaising with them and keeping them up to date will also be an important part of this role. ‘John' likes to go out and about and will need support with all aspects of his everyday life, including accessing the community, medication, appointments, helping to run his home and everything that this entails ‘John' is diagnosed with a severe learning disability, Autism tendencies and epilepsy and his support will be person centred to meet his needs and wants in life. ‘John' enjoys listening to music and participating in sensory activities such as foot spas and hand and foot massage. He also enjoys trips out in the car, walking when he is feeling well, visiting shops/places and sitting in the sun on nice days. He enjoys his bath times. ‘John' enjoys visits to a swimming pool. He enjoys occasional pub meals, drinks and eating out. Staff who can drive are desirable so that ‘John' is able to access the community.
