The role is based in our Finance Shared Service Centre located at Towers Business Park in Didsbury with easy access to the motorway and rail network. Purpose of role: Communicate pricing information to customers. Reconcile customer pricing data from multiple sources, ensuring data is correct to enable invoices be raised by the automated Invoicing system. Carry out pricing setups on new trades, ensuring accuracy before other teams carry out their roles in the trade setup. To work closely with the Commercial and Sales Ledger teams, providing the link between the agreed pricing and invoicing. To build and maintain relationships with other teams, particularly IT teams that work on trade capture. Carry out SOX checks as part of the audit process. Individual responsibilities: • Communicate pricing information to customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (depending on the customer’s requirements). • Carry out pricing setups, including preparing the data for automatic invoicing. • Create manual price sheets to verify pricing information in the internal systems. • Communicate any issue or discrepancy around trade capture clearly and in a timely manner. • Follow up and verify any trade amendments. • Record actions on the pricing tracker and query logs, as you will be working within a team. • Investigate and resolve any queries regarding customer pricing. What you will need to succeed: • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and a high level of numeracy. • A good level of IT literacy including competency with all aspects of Microsoft Office but with advanced Excel abilities. • Develop a working knowledge of Platts and Argus pricing (training provided) and be able to covert $ per tonne into pence per litre. • The ability to reconcile data from multiple sources and the confidence to challenge discrepancies should they arise. • A high level of organisation and motivation, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines and to prioritise workloads calmly and effectively. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop trusting and credible relationships with all levels of the business. • Ability to quickly recognise and solve problems, ability to explain complex issues in simple terms. • A flexible and adaptable attitude. Understanding the overall goals of the team, you will have the ability to use your initiative, challenge the status quo and actively consider new ways of working in order to achieve them. • Ambition, enthusiasm and wanting to progress within a reputable and fast moving organisation.
