Senior Actuarial Analyst West Malling Permanent - £50,000 Strategic People's Financial Services Client is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support and promote the development of the Protection business. This Senior role will work closely with the Actuarial Manager (Life) to provide professional analysis, advice, challenge & assurance in the management of Protection’s risks & liabilities. Key Skills: Life actuarial reserving / pricing / capital modelling techniques Knowledge of UK insurance products Numerate Good communicator Candidates need an actuarial BSc and study support is available as you will be expected to pursue your actuarial qualifications. My client has a good blend of project and BAU work available and you will liaise and work with Technical Pricing teams & other BU's. Technically you will need solid (i.e. daily) experience with MS Excel/VBA (e.g. Pivot Tables, Macros, Nested Statements etc.) and be open to learning new software packages as required. I am looking for candidates with c2yrs commercial experience in a relevant role to be considered. This is a small but growing team that is a critical function in my clients business so this is a relatively high profile role and you will need to be able to build strong cross-functional working relationships across the business so excellent communication skills & stakeholder engagement skills are important. You will support the Actuarial Manager day to day and assist with managing the workflow of junior analyst's and help with their technical and professional development. With a the support of an excellent Leader (and wider management team) and an excellent business culture where skills and professional development is encouraged this role has good prospects in terms of structured long-term career progression. My client isnt a huge enterprise so you can expect to have more breadth and depth in your work, compared with some of the lumbering giants of the Insurance world.
