Overview

An excellent opportunity for a Service Manager has arisen to join this ambitious and growing healthcare provider with a great ethos and reputation. My client takes pride in providing good quality care and support for adults with Mental Health conditions and Learning Disabilities, providing long-term accommodation and care in Residential and Supported Living care services. Domus are looking for a strong Service Manager with experience of supporting people with Learning Disabilities and/or Austism. Transforming Care Manager Key Responsibilities: You will have responsibility for leading a team who provides bespoke support to a young person within my clients Transforming Care programme. You will be aware of the National Transforming Care agenda and embrace the values of person-centredness working closely with families in designing and producing tailor made support. You will coach and mentor your team to embrace a person-centred approach; enabling the people we support to achieve their full potential, goals and aspirations. You will lead and quality assure the safe achievement of the person my client supports with planned outcomes in community connection, health and well-being, education and employment ensuring that high standards of person-centred support are continuously developed and maintained, working with families, the local community and other providers. The ideal candidate will have: An awareness of the National Transforming Care agenda Experience of supporting people who have a learning disability and / or autism who require support to live their lives as they wish. Experience of leading teams to embed person centred working and supporting people in making decisions about their lives. Experience of developing and leading change with teams with the aim of improving the quality of support provided. Experience of developing strong relationships with individuals and families built on trust, respect and reliability. Experience of managing budgets. A solid understanding of the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with learning disabilities and / or autism. Knowledge of the Essential Care Standards, Safeguarding and regulatory frameworks. A working knowledge of Mental Capacity, Management qualification or relevant qualification.
